Redondo Beach Ballot Measures Voter Guide

Here is a brief roundup of measures on the ballot for the March 7 election.

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- Redondo Beach voters will head to the polls March 7 to choose their council members and decide the fate of the waterfront redevelopment project. They will also decide on a county proposed sales tax aimed at combating homelessness.

School board elections are also scheduled for Redondo Beach unified school district, along with the Los Angeles Community College District.

Los Angeles County

  • Measure H, which needs approval from two-thirds of voters, would raise the county sales tax by a quarter-cent for 10 years, with the proceeds going toward homeless services including affordable housing, mental health treatment, health care, education, job training and transportation.

  • Measure C would amend the Coastal Land Use Plan Implementing Ordinance to impose additional regulations on the amount and type of development permitted in select coastal and open-space zones in the King Harbor-Pier area. It requires a simple majority of votes for approval.
