Redondo Beach Live Election Results: City Council And More
Residents voted for two new council members, a city clerk, a city treasurer and two new members of the Board of Education.
REDONDO BEACH, CA – Redondo Beach residents voted to elect two new City Council members, a city clerk, a city treasurer and two new members of the Board of Education in an entirely vote-by-mail election. The polls closed at 8 p.m. – 14 of 14 precincts are reporting as of 11 p.m.
Here are the unofficial results for the Redondo Beach election as of 11 p.m.:
City Council, 3rd District:

- Christian Anthony Horvath: 55.06 percent of the vote with 1,186 total votes
- Candace Allen Nafissi: 44.94 percent of the vote with 968 total votes
City Council, 5th District:
- Laura Emdee: 62.91 percent of the vote with 1,094 total votes
- Mel Samples: 37.09 percent of the vote with 645 total votes
City Treasurer:

- Steven Diels: 66.21 percent of the vote with 5,124 total votes
- Eugene J. Solomon: 33.79 percent of the vote with 2,615 total votes
City Clerk:
- Eleanor Manzano: 100 percent of the vote with 6,817 total votes
Board of Education:
- Raymur Elizabeth Flinn: 56.81 percent of the vote with 5,674 total votes
- David Witkin: 43.19 percent of the vote with 4,314 total votes

Candace Allen Nafissi and Christian Anthony Horvath were vying for a City Council seat in the third district; Laura Emdee and Mel Samples were vying for a City Council seat in the fifth district.
Eleanor Manzano is running for City Clerk; Steven Diels and Eugene J. Solomon ran for City Treasurer; and Raymur Elizabeth Flinn and David Witkin ran for two seats on the Board of Education.
