Redondo Beach Moves Ahead With New Police, Fire Stations

The City Council approved initial design contracts for three public safety buildings.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Plans for a new police headquarters and two new fire stations moved forward after the Redondo Beach City Council approved design contracts July 7, the Easy Reader reported.

Swinerton Builders and LPA Design Studios will develop initial designs and guaranteed maximum construction prices for the buildings, which will replace existing facilities at their current locations. Construction is expected to begin next summer, according to the report.

The projects will be funded through Measure FP, a $93 million municipal bond approved by voters in 2024.
