Redondo Beach's Portofino Hotel Warns Guests of Security Breach
The hotel said its payment system was compromised because of malware that potentially affected payment cards used at the property.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Noble House Hotels & Resorts, the parent company of The Portofino Hotel & Marina in Redondo Beach, is warning guests that their credit information may have been compromised because of malware found on its payment system.
Nobel House was notified by the Secret Service of a possible breach on the payment card system at Ocean Key Resort & Spa, its property in Florida, and subsequently discovered the malware was on several of its properties.
"Noble House Hotels & Resorts values the relationship it has with its guests and takes its obligation to protect payment card information seriously," the company said in a statement.

Guests who stayed at or visited The Portofino, including the Baleen Kitchen & Lounge restaurant and the Living Room Bar, between April 26 and June 8 of this year, were advised to check their account statements for any unauthorized activity.
The company said the information found in the magnetic stripe on payment cards was compromised, including payment card numbers, expiration dates, CVV numbers, and may have included the payment cardholder's name.

- Kona Kai Resort & Spa, San Diego, CA, including the Vessel restaurant and the Tiki Bar, from April 25, 2016 - Aug. 3, 2016
- Little Palm Island Resort & Spa, Florida Keys, FL, including the Little Palm Island Dining Room, from April 25, 2016 - June 8, 2016
- The Edgewater, Seattle, WA, including the Six Seven restaurant, from April 26, 2016 - Aug. 3, 2016
- Ocean Key Resort & Spa, Key West, FL, including the Hot Tin Roof Restaurant, Sunset Pier bar, and LIQUID Pool Bar between April 26, 2016 and June 8, 2016
- River Terrace Inn, Napa, CA, including the Terrace Café & Wine Bar, from April 25, 2016 - June 8, 2016
- LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort, Naples, FL, including the Baleen restaurant and the Tiki Bar, from April 26, 2016 - Aug. 3, 2016
- Mountain Lodge at Telluride, Telluride, CO, including The View restaurant, from April 26, 2016 - Aug. 5, 2016
- Hotel Deca, Seattle, WA, from April 25, 2016 - June 8, 2016;

"We have no evidence that any cards used at these businesses outside of the periods identified were affected," Nobel House said.
The company said it will reimburse guests for any fraudulent charges that their banks or credit card issuers declined to reimburse.
Guests who were affected by the security breach were contacted, however, Nobel House said it was not able to contact a number guests because of the nature of the incident.
