Backyard Fire Causes Power Problems in Redwood City
Did you lose power? This may be why.

A backyard fire Wednesday morning in Redwood City caused a power outage nearby, police said.
The fire was first reported at 5 a.m. in the 2100 block of Euclid Avenue and moved along power lines, causing the outage, according to police and fire officials. And as of 9:30 a.m., “fire is still on scene investigating,” police reported.
Power was shut off in the area, although nearby Roosevelt Elementary School had power and classes started as usual, police said.

Police closed the 2100 block of Euclid Avenue and traffic was delayed in the area of Upton Street between Madison and Roosevelt avenues, according to police. However, it was back open around 9:30 a.m.
