UPDATED: Redwood City Police Find Missing Man
Police said the man suffers from a severe case of dementia, and he wandered off from his care facility Thursday evening.

UPDATE 10:10 P.M.:
Redwood City police say an elderly man whom they were seeking has been located Thursday evening.
“The Redwood City Police Department has located Mr. Towne,” police said on Nixle. ”He has been returned to his home.”

REDWOOD CITY, CA- Redwood City police are searching for a missing man with dementia Thursday evening.
Police said Douglas Towne, 75, suffers from severe dementia and is considered unable to care for himself. He walked away from his care home in the 1300 block of Valota Road in Redwood City around 5 p.m. and has not been seen since, according to police.
He is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 132 pounds, with white hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt, dark pants and black New Balance shoes. If you can help locate Towne, please call 911 or contact police at 650-780-7100.
