Body Found On The Peninsula ID'd As Local Man

Coroner's officials have identified a man who was found over the weekend in a wooded area. (BREAKING)

DALY CITY, CA — A man who was found dead over the weekend in a wooded area of Daly City has been publicly identified by the San Mateo County coroner's office. The man's body was discovered on Sunday morning, according to police.

Byron Gray's body was found in a wooded area around 9:30 a.m. near a commercial building in Daly City on Father's Day, according to police and coroner's officials. He was 55 and a resident of Daly City.

Officers responded to 699 Serramonte Blvd. where they found a body nearby, Sgt. Ron Harrison said.

Details surrounding the case are limited, and Harrison said the cause of Gray's death is being investigated. It is not considered suspicious, he said.
