UPDATED: No Bomb Found at Redwood High, Police Say

Police issue update on the situation.

UPDATE 12:30 P.M. – Redwood City police say they have cleared the scene at Redwood High School, following an anonymous bomb threat that was made Friday morning. No bombs were found.

"No suspicious devices were located," police said in a statement. "The roadway and campus have been reopened."

REDWOOD CITY, CA – Redwood City police say a bomb threat was made this morning at Redwood High School.

Classes are canceled for the day, and students have already been evacuated, according to police. The threat was first reported at 10:25 a.m. at the high school at 1968 Old County Road.

Here's a statement released by Redwood City Police:

"The Redwood City Police Department is investigating an anonymous bomb threat at Redwood High. The campus has been fully evacuated and there are no injuries to report. Redwood City officers, with the assistance of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Bomb Squad, are in the process of a thoroughly searching the campus."

Stafford Street, which turns into Old County Road by the high school, is closed between F and Bing streets because of the threat.

As of about 11 a.m., police were continuing to investigate but said that so far there were no injuries and no evidence of the presence of an explosive device.

School officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
