Police say the teens were wearing masks and gloves.

MENLO PARK, CA — Two teen boys were caught this week at the scene of a local burglary wearing masks and carrying stolen items, police say.
It happened around 1:57 p.m. Tuesday, when an alert resident of the Willow's neighborhood in Menlo Park spotted a suspicious person walking around the area, according to the Menlo Park Police Department. The person was then seen climbing over a fence of a residence in the 400 block of Central Avenue.
"Menlo Park Police officers arrived within seconds and observed a second subject entering the residence through a side window," police said in a news release.

With the help of a San Mateo County sheriff's deputy, a California Highway Patrol officer and two K9's, officials established a perimeter around the home.
"An announcement was made to the subjects inside the residence, and a short time later the two exited with masks and gloves on," police said. "They were detained without incident and found to have stolen property in their possession from the residence."
