Cal Fire Warns Of Falling Trees After Man Killed: San Mateo Co.
The Cal Fire San Mateo-Santa Cruz Unit is warning people that the risk for unstable trees has increased due to rains.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — After a 28-year-old Minnesota man was killed by a falling tree in the Muir Woods National Monument in Marin County, the Cal Fire San Mateo-Santa Cruz Unit is warning people that the risk for unstable trees has increased due to rains.
"Use caution when you’re out and about. Recent rains have saturated the ground and muddied tree root balls. This increases the potential for unstable trees, now top-heavy with water," the agency said Thursday.
Around 4:40 p.m., Subhradeep Dutta of Edina, Minnesota, was walking on a path in the Muir Woods park when he hit by a tree.
