"The victim believed his stolen property was possibly possessed by subjects that frequented the underpass located under 3rd Ave and US Highway 101," police said in a news release. "SMPD Officers immediately spotted a known prolific thief and probationer, 24-year-old Josue Pirirboch."
Police said the victim was able to identify some of the property Pirirboch had as property that had been stolen from the victim.

Pirirboch was also found to be in possession of property linked to a burglary on Oct. 15, police said. He was arrested on suspicion of multiple crimes, police said.
What's more, police say that while they were at the underpass, they issued some loitering citations for people who had previously been told to leave. They also recovered property believed to be stolen.
"Officers additionally collected several bicycles and property whose ownership is currently undetermined," police said. "The collected property and bicycles have been photographed and we are currently uploading the images to an interactive website that can be viewed at a later date. We are asking for the public helps in identifying the property. SMPD will notify you as soon as that link is made available."
