Coroner's Office IDs Man Killed in Motorcycle Wreck Near Woodside

The 26-year-old man was remembered on social media as kind-hearted, sweet, helpful and joyful.

A motorcyclist who died in a crash in the small community of Sky Londa on Saturday afternoon was identified as Pedro Naranjo Jr., a 26-year-old Tracy resident, according to the San Mateo County coroner's office.

Naranjo was riding a 2016 BMW motorcycle on Skyline Boulevard west of state Highway 35 in the coastal mountains of San Mateo County at about 1:20 p.m. when he lost control of the bike on a sweeping right curve, California Highway Patrol officials said.

He fell to the ground, sliding with the bike across the double yellow lines into the path of a 2016 Kia. He was struck and fatally injured by the Kia.

The Kia driver suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to Stanford Hospital. Two passengers in the Kia were uninjured, CHP officials said.

Investigators do not suspect alcohol or drugs to be a factor in the crash.

Naranjo graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Richmond in 2004, according to his Facebook profile. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, posting numerous pictures and videos of motorcycles on his page. Friends have posted numerous grieving messages on Facebook, remembering Naranjo as kind-hearted, sweet, helpful and joyful.
