DUI Checkpoint Planned In Redwood City Area: CHP
The operation will run this week, the agency says. [BREAKING]

REDWOOD CITY, CA –California Highway Patrol officers from the Redwood City Area Office are planning a DUI/driver's license checkpoint this weekend, it was announced Thursday.
The operation is slated to run Friday night somewhere in the Peninsula region served by the Redwood City CHP office. It will begin at 8 p.m. and go until about midnight, according to a news release from the agency.
"It is the Department’s goal to use this enforcement tool to assist with the reduction of injury and fatal collisions that are caused by impaired drivers," the release states. "We are asking the public to designate a driver or arrange transportation to make sure they reach their destination safely."

Funding for the operation comes from state and federal grants.
