Highway 84 Closed in Woodside After Tree Falls, Knocks Down Wires
Utility crews arrived on the scene quickly to handle the wires.

WOODSIDE, CA — Caltrans closed a segment of state Highway 84 in Woodside on Monday due to a fallen tree that got caught on overhead wires, causing them to sag, an agency spokesman said.
The tree fell Monday near Grandview Drive and mile marker 15.5, according to Caltrans spokesman Bob Haus. Utility crews arrived on the scene quickly to handle the wires and Caltrans crews were working to resolve the situation, but Highway 84 is closed to through traffic from Grandview Drive to Skywood Way.

The Town has received information from Caltrans crews working on Highway 84 that Highway 84 is closed between Skywood and Grandview. Please use Kings Mountain Road or Old La Honda road as alternate routes to/from Skyline Boulevard.
Local traffic is being allowed through, except for taller trucks.

As of 4:45 p.m., there was no estimate for when the roadway would reopen, Haus said.
