Hudson Street Bicycle, Pedestrian Improvements Kick Off This Month

One of the more visible improvements will include a new traffic signal, the city says.

REDWOOD CITY, CA – The Hudson Street Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements Project is moving forward this month. JJR Construction is leading the project improvements and work will begin April 17. The project will be completed in August.

The improvements will focus on the section of Hudson Street between Harrison Avenue and Woodside Road. The project design is based on feedback from the community and will address various vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian concerns. Some of the more visible improvements will include traffic signal replacement at the Hudson and Jefferson intersection and a new traffic circle at the Hudson and Madison intersection. Other project focus areas include sidewalk bulbouts, ADA-compliant curb ramps, raised crosswalks, and new signage. Working hours will be 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
