Motorcyclist, 28, Killed on Hwy 101 In Silicon Valley: CHP
BREAKING: The victim's sportbike collided with a Volkswagen, CHP said.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — A man riding a motorcycle died in a highway collision this afternoon in Mountain View, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The collision was reported at 4:01 p.m. on southbound U.S. Highway 101 at the on-ramp from Rengstorff Avenue.
The victim was riding a sportbike and collided with a silver Volkswagen, according to the CHP. He's been identified only as a 28-year-old man.

The CHP issued a Sig-alert at 4:17 p.m. because two lanes of southbound Highway 101 were blocked because of the collision.
As of 6:25 p.m. the Sig-alert has been cancelled and all lanes of traffic are open.
