Peninsula Brush Fire Contained to Two Acres, Officials Say
Initial reports said the fire began to spread during a controlled burn in the area.

Cal Fire officials said a brush fire Sunday afternoon in unincorporated San Mateo County was contained to two acres. The fire was contained at 3:15 p.m.
It was first reported at 11:32 a.m. near 4351 Cloverdale Road in unincorporated San Mateo County, according to Fire Capt. John Byrne.
Initial reports said the fire began to spread during a controlled burn in the area, however, Byrne said those reports have not been confirmed and currently, it's unknown how the fire started.

About 25 burning brush piles were located in the area, however, according to fire officials.
No injuries have been reported.
