Peninsula Man Accused of Sexting Teen Hundreds of Times

The girl's father contacted the San Mateo County Sheriff's office after he found inappropriate Facebook and text messages, police said.

HALF MOON BAY, CA- Authorities have arrested a Half Moon Bay man on suspicion of attempting to engage in lewd acts with a 15-year-old girl after he allegedly sent her hundreds of text messages, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

Patrick Joseph Andorfer, 51, of Half Moon Bay, was arrested at about 7 p.m. Dec. 30 after investigators lured him to the 600 block of Correas Street by exchanging text messages posing as the victim.

The girl’s father contacted the San Mateo County Sheriff’s office in August after he found inappropriate Facebook and text messages from Andorfer.

During the four-month investigation, sheriff’s office officials said Andorfer sent over 500 text messages to the victim, which became increasingly sexual in content. According to police, Andorfer was booked into the San Mateo County jail on suspicion of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor and was being held on $50,000 bail.
