Peninsula Man Pleads No Contest to Child Molestation
The victim was just 7-years-old when the molestation started. Prosecutors released disturbing details.

A 32-year-old San Carlos man has pleaded no contest to nine felony sex offense counts for molesting a young family member and possessing child pornography, San Mateo County prosecutors said today.
Daniel Collins entered the plea Wednesday to eight child molestation counts and one count of possession of child pornography in exchange for a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in prison, according to the district attorney’s office.
Collins molested the family member for several years starting in 2008 when she was 7 years old.

San Mateo County sheriff’s investigators learned he had also used his cellphone to record various lewd acts with the family member and also downloaded child pornography on his computer, prosecutors said.
He remains in custody on no-bail status and will return to court on March 4 for sentencing.
