Lopezcruz attacked a 23-year-old female jogger on the Foster City Pedway Aug. 31 of last year while he was on bail for assaulting a female bicyclist at the same location two days earlier, prosecutors said.

Lopez used his bicycle to knock the woman into some bushes, punched her in the face, grabbed her wrists and grabbed her buttock and genital area through her clothing while holding her down, prosecutors said.

In the Aug. 29 incident, Lopezcruz was riding his bicycle and approached a 20-year-old female cyclist who had stopped to use a map on her phone.

The woman tried to ride away when Lopezcruz approached her, but he blocked her way and showed her a translated message on his phone that said: “Shut up; Shut Up or You Will Die.”

When the woman tried to back away from Lopezcruz he grabbed his crotch and then tried to grab her phone from her hands.

The woman held onto her phone but dropped her bicycle and ran to find a safe place to call 911.
