Peninsula Victim ID'd in Deadly Hit-and-Run
Coroner's officials on Monday released the identity of a man who was hit and killed over the weekend while walking along a roadway.
SAN CARLOS, CA- Coroner's officials on Monday publicly identified a man who was killed while out walking over the weekend.
According to the San Mateo County coroner's office, 53-year-old Christopher Ricci was killed late Saturday night after being hit by a pickup truck. Ricci was a resident of San Carlos.
According to San Mateo County Sheriff's Office Det. Salvador Zuno, the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, in the 2100 block of San Carlos Ave.

"Deputies were first to arrive on scene and provided CPR to the injured victim," Zuno said in a news release. "Unfortunately, the victim – a 53-year old male resident of San Carlos – succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene."
Zuno said it appears the man was walking along the shoulder of the roadway when he was hit by a white 2001 Ford F150 pickup truck.

The driver of that truck, Randall Rubingh, was arrested in Belmont after the crash and booked on charges of felony hit-and- run, felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter, according to Zuno.
