Peninsula Wife Stabs Husband 'Numerous Times' With Kitchen Knife: Police
BREAKING: Police say the man was rushed to the hospital and into surgery following the alleged attack.

MENLO PARK, CA – A Menlo Park woman is jailed Tuesday on suspicion of attempted murder after she allegedly stabbed her husband with a kitchen knife "numerous times," police report. Sixty-one-year old Nelinda Cabellero is being held without bail on additional charges of assault with a deadly weapon and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse, records indicated.
The incident unfolded on Monday morning in the 200 block of Terminal Avenue, according to Menlo Park Police Sgt. Ed Soares.
"Once on scene, officers determined a domestic assault had occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. inside the residence," Soares said in a news release. "The initial investigation revealed that a 61-year-old resident at that location, Nelinda Cabellero, had stabbed the victim with a kitchen knife numerous times."

The man was rushed to the hospital and into surgery, according to Soares. His injuries were described as non-life threatening and he was in stable condition as of Monday night, the Mercury News reports.
