Recognize Him? Peninsula Package Thief Sought, Police Say

BELMONT, CA – Belmont police are asking for help identifying and finding a man who was recently caught on camera stealing a package off a local porch.
The incident happened on Dec. 20 around 1:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Marine Avenue, according to police. Authorities obtained home surveillance footage which shows the man ride his bicycle up to the front door, ring the doorbell and wait about 30 seconds before apparently determining no one was home and snatching a box.
"The suspect rode in eastbound from the area of Yorkshire Way, stole the package and continued eastbound on Marine View Avenue," police reported.

"The suspect is a light skinned male wearing a black t-shirt, tan cargo pants and black baseball cap w/white logo on the front," according to police. "He was carrying a tan backpack & was riding a black bicycle."
