Redwood City Firefighters Use Saws To Cut Through Industrial Doors to Access 4-Alarm Fire

SAN CARLOS, CA – Redwood City and San Carlos fire crews have put out a large fire at a local industrial complex which sent one firefighter to the hospital, officials report.
"Companies arrived to find a large, smoked-out open warehouse full of machinery with recyclables and waste burning," Redwood City fire crews reported on the agency's official Instagram account of the incident, which broke out at 333 Shoreway Road in San Carlos around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.
The fire quickly grew to four alarms, and one firefighter suffered from smoke inhalation symptoms, according to the fire department.

Crews remained on scene until 1:40 a.m. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
