Redwood City Opens Recruitment for Various Boards, Commissions and Committees

City Urges Residents Seeking to Make a Difference in their Community to Apply by Jan. 31, 2017

REDWOOD CITY, CA - Looking to make a difference? The City of Redwood City announced today the recruitment period to various open seats on advisory boards, commissions and committees. The City will start accepting online applications starting tomorrow, Jan. 4 for one vacancy on the Board of Building Review and two vacancies on the Housing and Human Concerns Committee.

"Having engaged residents working on our Boards, Commissions and Committees is critical to getting the local expertise and input we need to help the City move our community forward," said John Seybert, City of Redwood City mayor. "I urge residents looking to make a direct impact to apply."


All members serve without compensation and cannot hold any other public office or position in the City while serving. Disclosing economic interests is a requirement to serve on any City Board, Commission, or Committee. All volunteer positions listed below are appointed by the City Council. Applicants will be asked to interview with the City Council before formal appointment.
