Redwood City Police Activity Prompts Brief Road Closures [UPDATED]
Police asked the public to stay clear of the area while the incident unfolded.

REDWOOD CITY, CA – Police activity in Redwood City prompted law enforcement to close four area roadways for nearly two hours on Monday. Officials say they were in the 1100 block of Woodrow for a "5150" call.
At just before 11 a.m., the Redwood City Police Department said they'd closed Woodrow Street, Clinton Street, Roosevelt Avenue and Adams Street and asked area residents to stay away.
"[U]pdates will follow when the area is clear," police said.

Police cleared the scene by 12:45 p.m.
Though details on the case are limited, officials tell Patch that a man ultimately came out of a local home after holing up in a room for a bit. He was taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.
