Redwood City Police Run Canceled Due To Poor Air Quality
BREAKING: Redwood City police say "...the unhealthy air quality from the North Bay Fires" is to blame for the cancellation.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City's second annual "Run with the Cops" will not happen as planned this weekend, due to the poor air quality around the Bay Area as multiple wildfires continue to burn. Police announced the cancellation on Thursday afternoon. Organizers say it will be rescheduled "in the near future," but a date has not yet been set.
The event raises funds to support the Cadets of the Redwood City Police Department, according to a previous announcement from police for the first annual event.
"This fundraiser is designed to raise money so that our Cadets can compete in several local competitions as well as the state competition in Sacramento," police said last year, adding that they've been unable to attend the state competition in the past due to a lack of funds.
