Redwood City Provides Update On Hudson Street Bicycle, Pedestrian Improvement Project

REDWOOD CITY, CA — With the construction of over 500 linear feet of new storm drain mainlines on Hudson Street completed, the contractor will be continuing north to the intersections of Arden Court, Oak Avenue, and Roosevelt Avenue to install new bulb-outs and curb ramps.
In the upcoming weeks, the raised crosswalks at Harrison Avenue and Palm Avenue will be completed. The raised crosswalk will provide increased pedestrian visibility and traffic calming similar to the raised crosswalk in front of the library on Middlefield Road.
In late July/early August the traffic signals at the intersections of Jefferson Avenue and Hudson Street, Woodside Road and Hudson Street, Woodside Road and Hess Road will be upgraded. The traffic signal modification work is expected to take one month to complete.
