Redwood City Recruiting for Senior Affairs Commission
Interested applicants must apply by April 5, 2017

REDWOOD CITY, CA - The City of Redwood City announced Friday an additional seat opening for their current advisory Boards, Commissions and Committees recruitment period. In addition to the nine BCC seats announced Wednesday, the City is now recruiting for a seat on the Senior Affairs Commission. The person selected will serve on the commission until May 31, 2020.
Recruitment for this seat runs now through April 5 for this commission, which encourages, fosters, facilitates, establishes and maintains programs for the enhancement of all matters relating to the social, economic, and personal wellbeing of the City's senior population. All BCC members serve without compensation and cannot hold any other public office or position in the City while serving. Disclosing economic interests is a requirement to serve on any City Board, Commission, or Committee. This position is appointed by the City Council, which may elect to interview all applicants before formal appointment.
