Redwood City Teen Named In Coastside Theft
SMC sheriff's officials say they caught up with the teen in a stolen SUV recently.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — San Mateo County sheriff's officials on Tuesday shared images from a recent bust they made on the Peninsula. In a photo collage, posted above, authorities showed a stash of stolen items and a stolen SUV that were recovered.
The incident happened on Thursday around 1:30 p.m. when someone reported that her vehicle had been burglarized at Pescadero State Beach, according to sheriff's Det. Rosemerry Blankswade. The woman had notated the suspect vehicle's license plate number and passed it on to authorities — who soon learned that the SUV was reported stolen out of Salinas.
"While traveling northbound on Highway 1, a San Mateo County Deputy Sheriff located the suspect vehicle and conducted an enforcement stop," Blankswade said in a news release.
