Surveillance Camera Leads To Arrest Of Peninsula Burglary Suspect

REDWOOD CITY, CA — A video surveillance system inside a Redwood City home led to the arrest of a man suspected of stealing jewelry in a residential burglary Sunday, police said.
Police responded to a residence on the 400 block of Redwood Avenue after a homeowner received an alert from an interior surveillance system that an unknown suspect was inside his home, police said.
As police arrived at the scene, the suspect, later identified as Ludwin Dominguez, was observed fleeing the residence on foot, authorities said. Officers established a perimeter and located Dominguez attempting to enter a vehicle a short distance from the residence, police said.

Dominguez was detained without incident and positively identified by the initial officer on scene who witnessed him fleeing the residence, police said.

Dominguez was arrested on suspicion of committing a residential burglary, resisting arrest, and on a misdemeanor arrest warrant and booked into San Mateo County jail, police said.
