Suspect Arrested In Redwood City Stabbing
A witness identified Dennis Rodriguez, 32, as the suspect.
REDWOOD CITY, CA – A suspect accused of stabbing a 41-year-old man in Redwood City early Wednesday morning has been arrested, police said.
Dennis Rodriguez, 32, was arrested him on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
Police said officers responded to a report of the alleged attack in the rear of America’s Tire at 1610 Broadway at about 12:30 a.m.

The victim told officers he was walking through the parking lot when the suspect approached and attacked him without provocation, stabbing him in the neck and on the hand.
The victim was transported to Stanford Hospital and underwent emergency surgery for his injuries.

The weapon used to stab the victim has not been located.
Police located Rodriguez walking near the alleged crime scene while canvassing the neighborhood. A witness who had been working on a car in the parking lot at the time of the attack identified Rodriguez as the suspect.
Rodriguez booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
