Suspect Sought in Local Convenience Store Robbery
San Mateo County Sheriff's officials say the Quick Stop on Middlefield Road in the Atherton area was robbed this week.

Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint early Wednesday morning in unincorporated San Mateo County, near Redwood City.
After entering a Quick Stop in the 3000 block of Middlefield Road at 5:03 a.m., the suspect brandished and demanded cash.

The suspect fled the scene with roughly $400 in cash, according to deputies, running north on Middlfield Road and east on Eighth Avenue.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic or white man in his mid-20s. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black jacket, black shirt, black beanie, gray gloves and a gray painter’s mask.
