Today Last Day to Call for a Replacement Ballot , Election Day Schedules and Options

According to the Office of Mark Church, the Chief Elections Officer, there are 36.092 registered voters. According to the Political Data Inc. 3699 have been returned.

Phone banking and talking to people, I have found that a number of people believe they haven’t received their ballot either because they didn’t recognize it as THE ballot and threw it out as junk mail or because in fact they did not receive it. If you registered to vote after October 5th your ballot still may be in process. Or it may still be in process of being mailed If you registered to vote before October 5th, didn’t receive your ballot and called in to request a duplicate. According to Hillary O’Connor from the Elections Office tomorrow is the last day to request a ballot be mailed to you. As their website states:

“Call the San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division at (650) 312-5222 and a second ballot will be sent to you. You must sign the statement sent to you with the second ballot that you have lost or did not receive your Vote by Mail ballot. You may also go to your regular polling place or to the San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division and vote a provisional ballot.”

At this point if you are registered, take a minute to find your ballot or request a duplicate one and vote.

Given that we are not just barely over a week before the elections it is also worth knowing when the results will be released. This is the schedule of releases planned for election day:

Hablando por teléfono y en persona con muchas personas hay varias que me han contado que todavía no han recibido su boleto sea porque no pensaron que el boleto era EL boleto y lo echaron a la basura, sea que en realidad no lo recibieron. Segun Hillary O’Connor de la Oficina del Director de las Elecciones, no todos los vantantes registrados despues del 5 de octubre han recibido sus papeltas. En ademas algunos votantes que no recibieron sus papeletas y pidieron un repuesto tampoco han recibido sus papeletas en cualquier caso mañana es el último día para pedir un repuesto y que sea mandado por correo. Como explican en linea:

“ Puede usted llamar a la Oficina de Elecciones al (650) 312-5222 y le será enviada una segunda boleta. Usted debe firmar una declaración donde indica que usted ha perdido o no recibió su boleta electoral de votación por correo. Este formulario le será enviado con la segunda boleta y deberá enviarlo de regreso con su boleta votada. Usted también puede ir a su lugar de votación o a la oficina de Elecciones y votar en una boleta provisional.”

Si está registrado, haga el esfuerzo, busque su papeleta y si no la encuentra pida otra, y voté!
