8 Displaced After Apartment Complex Fire
Cars and a motorcycle also burned in the morning blaze in Santa Rosa. [Breaking]

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – A fire that broke out this morning at an apartment complex in Santa Rosa displaced eight people, fire officials said.
Firefighters with the Santa Rosa Fire Department responded at 12:55 a.m. to 422 Klute St. on a report of a motorcycle burning in the parking lot. They found three cars and a motorcycle burning in the carport of
a two-story four-unit apartment building.
Firefighters said the fire was an immediate threat to apartment units above and adjacent to the carport.

All the occupants of the building were safely evacuated before the fire department arrived. The fire was controlled within 25 minutes, firefighters said.
It destroyed several vehicles and storage areas in the complex and caused moderate fire damage to one apartment and moderate smoke damage to four other units.

The fire displaced eight people. The displaced residents are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
The fire caused an estimated $150,000 in damage and is being investigated by the Santa Rosa Fire Department and the Santa Rosa Police Department.
