Gas Leak Prompted Shelter-In-Place In Rohnert Park
Leak stopped by crews after Department of Public Safety issued the order Monday morning.

ROHNERT PARK, CA – A gas leak, stemming from a construction crew rupturing a 1.25-inch plastic gas line with a backhoe behind a Costco store in Rohnert Park was under control this morning, a PG&E spokeswoman said.
Shelter-in-place orders were lifted, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety reported at 9:37 a.m.
The gas leak happened around 8 a.m. in the area of Labath Avenue and Carlson Court. One PG&E customer, a radio station, lost gas service, utility spokeswoman Deanna Contreras said.

Gas was still leaking around 9:10 a.m. however, crews working at the scene stopped the gas leak, officials said.

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety issued a shelter in place order in response to a large gas leak this morning.
The leak is in the Carlson Court and Labath Avenue area of west Rohnert Park.
The department initially issued an advisory at 8:24 a.m. about the leak.
