Motorist Busted For Suspected DUI & 'Ghost Gun' After North Bay Chase
Santa Rosa police said the man ran a red light and subsequently was pulled over and arrested on multiple charges.

SANTA ROSA, CA — After allegedly running a red light and a brief police chase, a Santa Rosa man was arrested Friday on numerous charges including suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of a loaded "ghost gun," reportedly found stashed under the vehicle driver's seat, according to authorities.
Kevin Luna-Miramontes, 23, did not comply with an attempted police stop at 11:57 p.m. in the Sebastopol Road and Stony Point Road area, following the traffic-light violation, and a slow pursuit that lasted two-minutes ensued, the Santa Rosa Police Department said.
Luna-Miramontes eventually stopped and was arrested near Arthur Ashe Circle and New Zealand Avenue, police said.

The individual reportedly displayed DUI symptoms and was found to be driving over two times the legal alcohol intoxication limit, the department said.
A subsequent search of Luna-Miramontes’ vehicle found under the driver's seat a loaded 9mm Polymer80 “ghost gun” — with Glock slide and serial numbers obliterated, officials said.

Ghost guns are unserialized and untraceable firearms that can be bought online and assembled at home, according to experts.
After a medical clearance, police said Luna-Miramontes was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on charges of: felony possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle; felony possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle; felony possession of an unregistered loaded firearm; felony possession of a firearm with obliterated serial numbers; misdemeanor charge of evading police; and DUI with a blood alcohol content .08 or above.
