Rohnert Park Man Sentenced To 6 Years For Fatal DUI Crash

Fabian Carreras-Hermosillo, 23, was killed on his motorcycle when the driver's truck pulled in front of him.

ROHNERT PARK, CA –A 64-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday to six years in state prison after pleading no contest in July to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated for a crash in 2017 that killed a motorcyclist in Rohnert Park, Sonoma County prosecutors said.

Robert Bosch, a Rohnert Park resident, was driving a Ford Ranger north on Snyder Lane shortly before 6 p.m. on Aug. 23, 2017, when he made a left turn toward a parking lot but pulled in front of a motorcycle driven by
23-year-old Fabian Carreras-Hermosillo.

The motorcyclist was unable to slow down and avoid a collision. He suffered severe injuries and died on his way to the hospital.

He pleaded no contest on July 19 and was sentenced Wednesday by Sonoma County Superior Court Judge Robert LaForge.

"This is yet another tragic loss of life that could have been easily avoided," District Attorney Jill Ravitch said in a statement. "Driving while impaired is not only illegal, it is reckless and dangerous. This prison term is an entirely appropriate sentence for this case."
