Santa Rosa Plaza and Coddingtown Mall Continue ‘More Than Pink’ Partnership with Susan G. Komen Throughout May

More Than Pink movement in support of Susan G. Komen includes a 'Hero Wall' at Santa Rosa Plaza & Dine Out for the Cure at Coddingtown Mall

Santa Rosa Plaza and Coddingtown Mall today announced a Spring 2017 More Than Pink movement in support of Susan G. Komen and the fight against breast cancer.

At Santa Rosa Plaza, visitors will notice the pink theme! Staff will don pink accessories and surprise and delight shoppers with pink treats and bottled water. In exchange for a $5 donation, shoppers will receive a Discount Card, available in the mall office, providing 15 percent or 25 percent off one item at each participating retailers. All Discount Card donations go to Susan G. Komen.

Survivors and their families will have an opportunity to visually celebrate and honor the hero who inspires and uplifts them through their fight with breast cancer. For a $1 donation, shoppers will receive a pink sticker on which they can write the name of the ‘More Than Pink’ Hero and place it on the wall. All proceeds go to Susan G. Komen.

“It has been wonderful to see the positive response that the More Than Pink movement has generated over the past year,” said Santa Rosa Plaza Director of Marketing and Business Development Kim Hall.

At Coddingtown Mall, staff will wear pink accessories and pink ribbon mints will be available for shoppers in the mall office. As part of Dine Out for the Cure, BJ’s Restaurant and Jack’s Urban Eats at Coddingtown Mall are supporting the fight against breast cancer. Dine at BJ’s on Thursday, May 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. or Jack’s Urban Eats on Tuesday, May 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. for 20% of diners' meals to be donated directly to Susan G. Komen Foundation. Swing by the mall office to grab a voucher that must be presented to the server.

“Our shoppers, retailers and employees have embraced the opportunities we offer to support Susan G. Komen in its tireless efforts to reduce breast cancer deaths, and we look forward to continuing that momentum this year,” added Jimmy Scales, assistant mall manager at Coddingtown Mall.

As part of its pledge to donate $1 million each year in 2017 and 2018, more than 180 participating Simon Malls, The Mills and Premium Outlets nationwide will be participating in a range of activities during the months of April and May. As of April 2017, Simon has raised $441,667 in support of Susan G. Komen, all generated through the support and participation of shoppers, retailers and employees.
