Update: Enhancements to Snyder Lane and Rohnert Park Expressway

The City of Rohnert Park wants to make it easy for residents and businesses to stay informed about construction activity and ensure that you have the most current information. Below are some helpful tips for navigating through the following areas this week:

Rohnert Park Expressway

The Contractor will be working on the north side of Rohnert Park Expressway east of Snyder Lane beginning Monday, June1. Flagged traffic on the Expressway will be in effect, follow traffic cones for safety. Please travel through the area with caution and slow speeds.

Snyder Lane Traffic

On Monday, June 1, the sidewalk on the east side of Snyder Lane from RPX to Southwest will be closed in preparation for closing Snyder Lane on June 8. Pedestrians will be able to use the sidewalk on the west side of Snyder. The closure of the entire road is scheduled from June 8 to August 16.

RPX Pedestrian Traffic

Pedestrians walking along Rohnert Park Expressway will need to access the first crosswalk on the west side where the signal is located. All other crosswalks will be blocked off with construction signs.

Installation of antennas on traffic signals

Beginning June 1 there will be work done at three separate locations to install antennas on top of existing traffic signal poles and other equipment at the following locations:

1. The northwest corner of Rohnert Park Expressway and Snyder Lane, the westbound curb lane will be impacted by use of a bucket truck.

2. The northeast corner of Rohnert Park Expressway and Country Club Drive, the westbound right turn lane will be impacted by use of a bucket truck.

3. Rohnert Park Expressway at the railroad tracks, all work is outside the roadway, but construction vehicles will be parked along the curb in the westbound direction.
