Two Separate DUIs An Hour Apart Near Barnes andRiver Roads
Two were arrested at the same Santa Rosa spot by CHP.

The California Highway Patrol on Thursday arrested two people on suspicion of DUI in separate incidents at the same location near Santa Rosa.
At 8:20 p.m., a CHP officer was monitoring traffic on Barnes Road south of River Road and observed a Toyota Camry approaching at a high rate of speed.
The officer confirmed with radar the vehicle was traveling 53 mph in a 35 mph zone. The officer pulled over the vehicle and noticed the driver, later identified as 37-year-old Molly Bastian of Santa Rosa, showed signs of being intoxicated, according to the CHP.

The officer also located an open bottle of vodka in the front seat. Bastian was determined to be four times over the legal limit to drive, and she resisted arrest and kicked the officer during the encounter, according to the CHP.
Bastian was arrested on suspicion of DUI, probation violation, having a second DUI in 10 years and having an elevated blood alcohol content, officers said. The second incident occurred at the same location at 9:35 p.m. In that incident, an officer stopped a Jeep Wrangler for driving 58 mph in the 35 mph zone.

The driver, identified as Brian Jellison, 37, of Santa Rosa, showed sings of intoxication and wasn’t able to perform a field sobriety test, according to the CHP. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI and found to have a prior DUI conviction, officers said.
