BREAKING: Jennifer Irvine was a family law and criminal defense attorney.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A San Diego lawyer was identified by friends Monday as one of the 59 people who lost their lives in Sunday's mass shooting in Las Vegas.
Jennifer Irvine, 42, a family law and criminal defense attorney, was among the 22,000 concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival near Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, where a gunman opened fire on the crowd, killing at least 59 people and injuring more than 500, making it the deadliest mass shooting in modern United States history.

"Jennifer Irvine, you are a shining light that will not be extinguished by a gutless coward with a gun," Kyle Kraska, a friend of Irvine's, wrote on Facebook.

Kraska, sports director for CBS News 8, said Irvine was "holding hands with her girlfriends singing and dancing to country music when she was shot in the head."
"You left this world singing and dancing, but far too soon," he said. "I will never forget you or any of the happy moments we shared. You made this world a better place simply by your presence."
Other friends took to social media to remember Irvine's life and mourn her death.
"A tragic loss of a kind, generous, and beautiful lady," attorney Thomas Slattery of Coronado posted on Facebook. He called Irvine a friend, colleague and business partner. "She will be greatly missed."
Irvine was a graduate of the University of San Diego and California Western School of Law. She became a family law and criminal defense attorney, with a practice in downtown San Diego.
Outside of the courtroom, Irvine earned a black belt in taekwondo, enjoyed hot yoga and was an avid snowboarder, according to her LinkedIn page.
Our condolences to the family, friends & colleagues of Attorney Jennifer Irvine, a fellow San Diego lawyer & Cal Western Law alum. https://t.co/bclYz81k0k
