3 Earthquakes, Including 4.9, Strike Off Northern CA Coast
The earthquakes follow two temblors measuring over 3.0 in the Bay Area in the past week, including one Wednesday evening.
SAN FRANCISCO — Northern California's earthquake faults has been active over the past week including two shocks over 4.0 and three over 3.0.
The latest is a cluster of three earthquakes off the coastline in the Pacific Ocean, about 170 miles northwest of Eureka.

According to the the U.S. Geological Survey, at 2:26 a.m. Thursday, a 3.5 magnitude quake occurred, followed two minutes later by a 4.9 magnitude quake, and then a 4.5 tremor 20 minutes later.
On Wednesday evening, a 3.8 earthquake was centered in Discovery Bay.

On Thursday of last week, a 3.2 earthquake struck in Fremont.
No damage or injuries have been reported in connection with any of the quakes.
