1. Woman Wakes Up To Man Sexually Assaulting Her Inside Tent In SF: DA (patch.com) — San Francisco prosecutors have charged a 36-year-old man with multiple sexual assault and false imprisonment felonies after a 21-year-old woman awoke to being attacked in a tent near Bayshore Boulevard and Industrial Street in the Bayview District. The woman sought help from a nearby witness, and police quickly arrested the suspect at the scene; investigators are asking anyone with additional information to contact SFPD.
2. Pickpocket Crew Convicted In String Of Thefts In San Francisco's Chinatown: DA (patch.com) — San Francisco's district attorney announced convictions against three Vallejo residents who repeatedly pickpocketed pedestrians in Chinatown, stealing thousands of dollars in cash and property. Plainclothes officers and real-time surveillance helped police track the crew's vehicle, watch them target victims in the neighborhood, arrest them on the spot, and recover stolen items.
3. 1 Rescued After Falling Into San Francisco Bay: Fire Officials (patch.com) — A person who fell into the San Francisco Bay near Pier 1 was quickly rescued by city firefighters and declined further medical treatment after being examined. Fire officials used the incident to urge residents and visitors to stay alert along the waterfront during San Francisco's busy Fleet Week, which is drawing large crowds to the piers through October 12.
4. Tiffany Hayes took a leap of faith for Valkyries. Now she has them one win from the Finals (sfchronicle.com) — San Francisco fans just watched Tiffany Hayes ignite the Golden State Valkyries at Chase Center, where her 21-point outburst helped push them to a 2–0 series lead over Las Vegas. With the semifinals shifting to Game 3 in Las Vegas, the Valkyries are now only one win away from the WNBA Finals after defending home court in San Francisco.
