SAN FRANCISCO, CA — An eight-vehicle crash on the Bay Bridge on Thanksgiving Day injured nine people, including a 2-year-old child, and caused a major traffic backup.

New traffic camera video obtained through an open records request by The Intercept shows a Tesla switch on its left turn signal, change lanes in front of another vehicle, and brake. Ten seconds later the carnage was done. The driver told investigators that the car was in full self-driving mode, something that Tesla CEO Elon Musk had touted in a tweet just hours earlier.

According to the report, more than 285,000 vehicles were using the "full self-driving" feature by the end of last year.
