• Chef turns passion for cooking into initiative to feed Tenderloin's hungry (ktvu.com) — In San Francisco's Tenderloin, Chef Kelvin Ehbegboni is serving hundreds of free handcrafted cheeseburgers each week through his new Street Food Initiative, which also rotates through Oakland and Berkeley. Working largely from his own pocket, he's asking for volunteers rather than money, and recently teamed up with District Attorney Brooke Jenkins to highlight the neighborhood's homelessness challenges and invite more city leaders to engage directly.
   

• Waymo Stops a San Francisco Ride, Alerts Police After Juvenile Passengers Were Found With a Loaded Ghost Gun in the Richmond District (centralrecorder.com) — A Waymo robotaxi in San Francisco's Richmond District automatically pulled over and alerted police after detecting a firearm, leading officers to arrest two juveniles and seize a loaded AR-style rifle, marijuana, and mace. The case, which unfolded around 4 a.m. on Sept. 3, remains under investigation as Waymo expands its driverless service across California.
