CA Couple Rescued From Snowed In Cabin After Nearly 2 Months
Two people and their dog were rescued after they were trapped in their snowed cabin for nearly two months.
CALIFORNIA — Two people who had been trapped in a snowed in cabin since December were rescued this week, the California Highway Patrol said.
The pair were trapped in the remote cabin in Sierra County since Dec. 6 due to heavy snow and downed trees and were running out of supplies, the CHP's Valley Division Air Operations reported Wednesday.
The Sierra County Sierra County Sheriff's Office requested assistance with rescuing the trapped couple. Aerial footage posted on Facebook by the CHP shows the cabin packed in snow.

A CHP helicopter was able to land near the cabin amid strong winds to rescue the couple and their dog.
