Festival Napa Valley presents a one-day gathering exploring the powerful connection between music, brain science, and wellness. Leading neuroscientists, psychologists, entrepreneurs, and musicians will share insights on music’s impact on brain health, community well-being, senior wellness, and youth mental health. The program will also highlight scientifically grounded medical practices that harness the therapeutic power of music.
Internationally acclaimed opera singer and arts and health advocate Renée Fleming will deliver the keynote address. Additional speakers include Aniruddh D. Patel, PhD., Tufts University; Chris Appleton, Founder & CEO of SocialRX; Dr. Indre Viskontas, MM, PhD, University of San Francisco, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, & Reverberation; Francisco J. Núñez, Founder & Artistic Director of the Young People’s Chorus of New York City; and Gary Muszynski, Founder & CEO of Orchestrating Excellence.
The day features engaging expert talks, case studies, and interactive workshops, along with a captivating Festival Live! concert. Attendees can also explore a free, day-long resource exposition in the atrium showcasing organizations working at the intersection of music, health, and community care.
