NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — As a new week begins, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for a great week.

But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect summer-like weather to start off the week, according to the National Weather Service.

"Typical summer-like pattern to persist throughout the first half of the week," NWS Bay Area forecasters wrote Sunday. "Temperatures are forecast to dip below seasonal averages by late week and into the upcoming weekend as an upper level trough impacts the region."
