Where Kids Learn to Code: Code Ninjas Opens First San Francisco Location

STONESTOWN, Calif. (October 6, 2026) – Code Ninjas, the world’s largest kids coding franchise offering coding, robotics and AI education for children ages 5-14, is set to open its first San Francisco location on October 17. Located next to the Stonestown Galleria Mall at 595 Buckingham Way Ste 561, the center helps children build coding, robotics, and AI skills through interactive, game-based learning. The programs offer a fun, safe environment where kids can explore technology, develop problem-solving skills, and gain confidence along the way.

Meet the Local Owners
Locally owned by Liz and Nick Gozun, Code Ninjas Stonestown marks the first location in San Francisco. Liz’s experience in hospitality and real estate combined with her husband’s career as an engineering program manager for leading technology companies led the couple to explore a customer-first franchise in the tech space. The couple wanted to own a business that their children could become a part of, and Code Ninjas fit what they were looking for. Located near the bustling Stonestown Galleria Mall and San Francisco State University, the couple is eager to get involved with the community, establish local partnership and become a hub for families.
“San Franscisco has always been at the center of innovation, and it felt like the right place to open Code Ninjas to give kids an early, hands-on start,” said Liz Gozun. “Code Ninjas’ education goes beyond coding, robotics and AI. It helps kids build problem-solving skills and confidence in creating their own work so that they can be the next innovators.”
Empowering the Next Generation of Coders
Designed to make STEM education both accessible and engaging, Code Ninjas helps children ages 5–14 build practical skills in coding, robotics and AI through interactive, game-based programs. Accredited by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), the curriculum is modeled after martial arts, guiding students through nine belt levels—from white to black—as they progress.
Families can choose from a range of programs tailored to different ages and skill levels, from early learning in Code Ninjas JR to the CREATE program, where kids build their own video games. Students explore coding through platforms like Microsoft Makecode, Minecraft Education, Lego Engineering, Unity, and Ozobot, turning screen time into skill-building time.
While the program is self-paced, students are supported by trained instructors, known as Code Senseis, and collaborate with peers in a fun, encouraging environment. Milestones like “Belt-Up” celebrations keep students motivated, and by the end of the program, each child will have created and published their own video game, building real-world skills and confidence along the way.
Code Ninjas Stonestown offers flexible after school sessions, seasonal camps, and Parents Night Out events. To learn more about programs or the grand opening event, please visit https://www.codeninjas.com/ca-san-francisco-stonestown or call (415) 376-6696.
